Application Strategy Workbook

When I was making applications, I had this horrible feeling of application-FOMO.*

I always felt as though there was something important that I was missing. Every time I started an application, I’d think ‘Maybe I should be doing a different one. Maybe this isn’t the best use of my time.’

Eventually I got so hacked off with this feeling that I created an application strategy. It was a monster of an Excel document. It had times, dates, locations, colour coding, abbreviations, highlights, timelines. The lot. And while this worked really well for me, it’s not the type of thing I can share with you guys. It’s not exactly user-friendly.

So I’ve created a much prettier version, and published it HERE

The Application Strategy Workbook will help you:

  • Establish what is important to you in your career, and thus create law firm criteria.
  • Use this criteria to compile a list of firms that you can apply to.
  • Keep track of firm events like Open Days and presentations.
  • Pick the most logical and effective order to make your applications.
  • Feel generally calmer about the whole process.

Let me know what you think. I’d love to hear any feedback or suggestions you have.

And feel free to share it with your friends/ network/ people who are stressing you out.

Sharing is caring.

When you see that friend whose stress makes you feel stressed about your stress.

And as always, good luck.

But you don’t need it, because you got dis.

I have recently came across your blog – thanks a lot for all you work and great advice! As a non-law student I find this particularly useful as the whole application process seems quite daunting! Would really appreciate if you could forward me a copy of your workbook please!
